Pensacola, Fla. - The Elgin Community College women's basketball team fell in two games against Division I opponents on Friday and Saturday.

The Spartans move to 6-6 in their overall record.

Dec. 12: ECC 47, Pensacola State 86

Elgin trailed 17–12 after the first quarter, but fell out of offensive rhythm to suffer the loss.

Alisea Doan led Elgin with 11 points while Christiana Glover added 12 points, including four three-pointers. Heaven Sims contributed seven points, seven rebounds and two steals, while Mazaiah Marc finished with six points and five rebounds.

Deandra Lopez collected a team-high five assists with Asha Gray securing one block.

Elgin battled on the glass, pulling down 42 total rebounds, but were unable to connect on offense.

Dec. 13: No. 6 Gulf Coast State 119, ECC 59

Marc led the offense with 16 points against the number six ranked GCSC.
