Milwaukee, Wis. - The Elgin Community College women's basketball came up short on the road in a 67–52 loss to Bryant & Stratton (WI) on Nov. 23.
Kenyia Pittmann powered the Spartans with a team-high 14 points, adding four rebounds and a steal. Abigail Esparza delivered another strong outing with 14 points, including two three-pointers, while contributing on defense with three rebounds and a steal.
Asha Gray finished with eight rebounds, six points, and a team-best three steals off the bench. Alisea Doan added 10 points, four rebounds, and two steals.
Heaven Sims also impacted the stat sheet with seven rebounds, four points, and two steals, while Tori Ruffin hauled in 11 rebounds—her strongest rebounding effort of the season—along with two points and two assists.
Elgin outrebounded the Bobcats 42–36 and held them to just 24.1 percent shooting from the field.
The Spartans look to bounce back as they host Wright on Dec. 6 at 1 p.m.
