Galesburg, Ill. - The Elgin Community College women's basketball team was edged 72-69 at Carl Sandburg on Tuesday night.

The Spartans move to 1-7 in their overall record as the Chargers improve to 6-1.

Zoey Wilson had a career night, scoring 30 points and recording eight rebounds and five assists.

ECC led 18-15 after the first and 33-29 entering halftime. CSC outscored Elgin 25-20 to lead 54-53 after three quarters. The game remained tightly contested but Carl Sandburg came out on top with a three point win.

The Spartans host Sauk Valley on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
