Elgin, Ill., Jan. 25, 2022 - The Elgin Community College women's basketball team fell 93-34 to No. 12 Morton on Tuesday night.

The Spartans dip to 3-13 as the Panthers improve to 16-2.

Jessie Dumoulin led the team with 11 points as Layla Tiongco posted a season-best eight points and a team-high seven rebounds. Takara Campbell grabbed three steals.

Elgin was able to hang on for the first few minutes before Morton would run away with the lead at 24-4 in the first quarter and 55-13 entering halftime.

ECC found its most successful offense in the fourth quarter with 15 points, but ultimately fell to the ranked Panthers 93-34.

The Spartans host McHenry on Thursday at 5:15 p.m.
