Grayslake, Ill., Jan. 18, 2022 - The Elgin Community College women's basketball team was outlasted 69-65 by the College of Lake County in the second overtime on Tuesday night.

The Spartans and Lancers move to 3-11 in their respective seasons.

Elgin struggled to connect shots in the first half, entering halftime at a 36-22 deficit.

The team was able to hold off CLC's offense to tighten up the score to 43-34 at the end of the third, and tied up 48-48 at the end of regulation.

The Spartans and Lancers each scored 12 points in the first overtime to send it into double overtime.

CLC was able to come away with the win at 69-65 thanks to its extensive bench.

The Spartans are back on the road to face Oakton on Thursday at 5:15 p.m.
