Chicago, Ill., Dec. 2, 2021 - The Elgin Community College women's basketball team clinched its second win of the season with a 54-50 victory over Wilbur Wright.
The Spartans improve to 2-4 as the Rams move to 4-5.
Jessie Dumoulin boasted a season-high 30 points in the win. Takara Campbell grabbed a team-best 11 rebounds and five steals.
The game was tied at 14-14 at the end of the first quarter. But ECC found its offensive rhythm, outscoring Wright 19-6 for the 33-20 lead entering the second half.
Despite Wright outscoring Elgin in the final two quarters, the women were able to hang on for the 54-50 win.
The Spartans are back at home to host Madison College on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
