Crystal Lake, Ill., Jan. 4, 2022 - The Elgin Community College women's basketball team opened Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) competition on the road, and fell 72-52 to McHenry on Tuesday night.

The Spartans dip to 3-9 as the Scots improve to 8-4.

ECC entered halftime with a 26-28 advantaged, but MCC found an offensive swing to hold the women to just five points in the third quarter.

Despite a game-high 19 points in the fourth, Elgin was unable to make up ground as they were handed the 72-52 loss.

The Spartans open home conference play on Thursday against Waubonsee. Tip-off is slated for 5:15 p.m.
