Spartans Split on Sophomore Day

Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College softball team split a pair of games with South Suburban on Sunday.

The Spartans improve to 6-22 in their overall season.

Game One: South Suburban 10, Elgin 11

Kenya Ventura hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to clinch the win. She registered one hit and two RBI in the game.

Ava Faber registered a team-high four RBI with two runs and two hits, including a double. Chloe Potter scored the most runs with three.

Game Two: Elgin 2, South Suburban 11

Alyson Sebahar scored one run on two hits and Zoie Adamson scored one on one hit. Sebahar and Julissa Aguinaga collected one RBI each.

Ventura struck out two batters in five innings.
