Sugar Grove and Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's basketball team picked up one win and two losses this week.

The Spartans move to 9-12 overall and 3-3 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play.

Jan. 20: Elgin 85, Waubonsee 100

Team leaders included Derek Clark in points (21), Davee Flowers in rebounds (nine) and Maddox Hollian in assists (seven) and steals (three).

Jan. 22: Morton 93, Elgin 97

Flowers netted a career-high 44 points and led the team in rebounds (seven), assists (four) and steals (six).

Jan. 24: Black Hawk Moline 90, Elgin 81

Flowered secured his 1000th career point in this game, cementing his spot in Spartan history. Hollian collected 28 points and five assists.

The Spartans are back in action at home on Tuesday against Moraine Valley. Tip-off is slated for 7:15 p.m.
