Chicago Heights and Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's basketball dropped a pair of conference games on Tuesday and Thursday.

The Spartans move to 6-9 overall and 0-2 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play.

Jan. 6: ECC 86, Prairie State 99

Davee Flowers led the Spartans with 31 points, including seven 3-pointers, and seven rebounds in 36 minutes. Xavior Gonzalez collected 14 points, three assists and two steals, while Maddox Hollian posted 11 points and four rebounds. Unique Shaw recorded seven points and a team-high nine assists.

Elgin shot 38.6 percent from the field and 26.4 percent from beyond the arc, finishing with 21 assists on 34 made baskets. The Spartans also forced 16 Prairie State turnovers and recorded seven steals.

Jan. 8: ECC 73, Lake County 85

Team leaders included Flowers in points (15), Jaylen Wells and Flowers in rebounds (seven), Shaw in assists (four), Derek Clark in blocks (two) and steals (two).

The Spartans host Oakton on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
