Men's Basketball 2-1 in Week 2

Elgin, Ill. and Milwaukee, Wis. - The Elgin Community College men's basketball team went 2-0 at home and suffered their first loss of the season in the second week of play.

The Spartans improve to 5-1 in their overall season.

Nov. 11: Southwestern Michigan 83, ECC 100

Elgin shot 52.7 percent from the field and 45.2 from the three-point line to command the majority of the game.

Team leaders included Immanuel Brown in points (21), Davee Flowers in assists (10) and rebounds (eight), Maddox Hollian and Flowers in steals (three) and Derek Clark and Deedum Lege in blocks (one).

Nov. 13: ECC 76, No. 10 Milwaukee Area Tech 131

Flowers shot a season-high 36 points with Caleb Lewis and Jaylen Wells each reaching double-digits in scoring. Derek Clark, Maddox Hollian, Flowers and Wells each grabbed four rebounds. Flowers also led the team in assists with four and steals with two.

Nov. 15: Illinois Valley 84, ECC 93

Four scored 10 points or more including Flowers (26), Brown (21), Hollian (12) and Xavier Gonzalez (10). Flowers and Hollian both registered double-doubles with 10 rebounds and Flowers tallied six assists and five steals.

The Spartans travel to Florida next week for three games.
