Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College volleyball team fell 3-1 to Highland on Monday night.

The Spartans move to 6-13 as the Cougars improve to 9-13.

Team leaders included Leah Murphy in kills (12) and points (18), Adeena Baluyut (three) in blocks (three), Kathleen Draftz in digs (16), and Cece Gonzales in assists (16).

ECC won a close first set 26-24, but HCC rallied back to take the next three 25-17, 25-13 and 25-15.

The Spartans host Morton on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
