Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College volleyball team came back from a set one loss to win 3-1 over Illinois Valley on Monday night.

The Spartans improve to 4-6 as the Eagles move to 1-9.

Leah Murphy registered a team-high 11 kills, four blocks and 17 points. Cassie Pitte and Mackenzie Field each tallied 14 points. Cece Gonzales totaled 24 assists.

ECC trailed after the first set with a 25-17 loss before coming back for 25-19, 25-22 and 25-21 wins to secure the match victory.

The Spartans host McHenry on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
