Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College volleyball team fell 3-1 to Triton on Friday night.

The Spartans move to 3-6 overall as the Trojans improve to 6-1.

ECC fell 25-21 and 25-14 in the first two sets before battling back for a 25-22 win in the third. Triton grabbed the fourth set at 25-19.

Leah Murphy, Cassie Pitte and Mackenzie Field led the front row with 13, eight and seven kills apiece.

Cece Gonzales registered a team-high 27 assists and 14 digs.

The Spartans host Illinois Valley for conference action on Monday at 6 p.m.
