Des Plaines, Ill. - The Elgin Community College women's soccer team bested Oakton 4-1 on Wednesday.

The Spartans improve to 3-3-1 overall and 2-0-1 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play.

Oakton scored its sole goal in the fourth minute of play.

Elena Carlos tied the game in the 12th minute with an assist from Julissa Ortiz.

Jacqueline Alvarez and Peyton Kohn were both assisted by Carlos for the 3-1 advantage entering halftime.

Oakton scored an own goal to end play with a 4-1 victory.

The Spartans are back on the road to face DuPage on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
