Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College women's soccer team earned a 2-0 win over Moraine Valley on Wednesday afternoon.

The Spartans improve to 1-2 in their overall season.

Elgin scored early when Cassandra Magallanes earned a penalty for Adeline Kinsella to score on a free kick in the 14th minute.

The game remained the same until Peyton Kohn found the back of the net in the 74th minute with an assist from Adrianely Galicia.

Delaney Schulz earned her first shutout of the season in goal.

ECC hosts St. Clair on Friday at 3 p.m.
