Oglesby, Ill., Sept. 14, 2021 - The Elgin Community College women's soccer team clinched its second win of the season with an 8-0 victory over Illinois Valley on Tuesday.

The Spartans move to 2-3 as the Eagles dip to 0-3.

Mia Kraft was on fire offensively, scoring the first three goals in the third, 12th and 17th minutes to lift Elgin to an early 3-0 lead.

The offensive control continued, wit Guadalupe Sanchez scoring two in a row in the 30th and 32nd minutes.

Kayla Mathis scored the sixth and final goal of the first half at 36 minutes.

Daniela Garay and Morelia Gonzalez scored in the 54th and 59th minutes to secure the 8-0 win.

The Spartans are back in Elgin to host Prairie State on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
