Kankakee, Ill. - The Elgin Community College softball team fell in a pair of games to Kankakee on Thursday.

The Spartans move to 5-21 in their overall season.

Game One: Elgin 0, Kankakee 10

Alyson Sebahar collected one strikeout in three innings. Kenya Ventura pitched one inning of relief.

Zoe Kaler earned the sole hit of the game. Ava Faber, Jamyra Thomas and Ventura showed patience at the plate to earn one walk apiece.

Game Two: Elgin 3, Kankakee 4

Ventura recorded one strikeout in six innings pitched.

Chloe Potter led the team in hits with two as Faber scored two runs. Kaler, Sebahar and Julissa Aguinaga registered one RBI each.

The Spartans host South Suburban for a doubleheader on Sunday starting at noon.
