Elgin, Ill. - The nationally recognized Elgin Community College men's soccer team posted a 3-3 draw with Carl Sandburg on Thursday.

The Spartans move to 5-1-2 in their overall record and remain unbeaten through seven games.

Nick Prus scored the first goal of the game at the 4:57 mark before Carl Sandburg tied it up at 1-1 right before halftime.

Adrian Diaz found the back of the net with an assist from Michael Garcia in the 50th minute.

The Chargers scored back to back goals in the 69th and 72nd minutes to take their first lead of the game.

Diaz scored his second game-tying goal of the season at 89:07 off of a free kick to end the match in a 3-3 draw.

Maksym Kharchenko registered 11 saves.

The Spartans travel to take on Lake County on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
