Elgin, Ill. - The No. 19 men's soccer team tied 2-2 with McHenry on Thursday afternoon.

The Spartans improve to 4-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play.

Elgin outshot McHenry 25 to 14 but were unable to capitalize on more opportunities resulting in the draw.

MCC scored in the 15th and 55th minutes to hold the lead for the majority of the game.

Michael Garcia scored his second goal of the season at the 63:39 mark to tighten up the score.

Adrian Diaz tied the game on a penalty kick in the 77th minute.

Brandon Gonzalez tallied 10 saves in the box.

The Spartans have the weekend off and will face Waubonsee on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
