NJCAA DII Rankings Poll: Week 1

Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team is off to its best start in program history with a 4-0-1 record.

The Spartans' undefeated streak has led them to receiving votes in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Rankings. This is the first time that the men's soccer team has been featured in national rankings.

ECC opened its season with a commanding 3-1 victory over No. 12 Mineral Area on August 22. Two days later, the men clinched a 1-0 win over Region 4 opponent Illinois Valley.

Elgin drew a 4-4 tie with Truman on August 29 and shutout Daley 3-0 on August 21. On Monday, ECC defeated National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Governors State 5-1 to remain undefeated in the 2024 season.

The Spartans host Morton, who is also receiving votes, on Thursday at 4 p.m. and No. 20 Rock Valley on Saturday at noon.
