Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team ended its season with a 7-1 loss to No. 9 Mineral Area on Thursday afternoon.
Miguel Navarro scored the lone Elgin goal in the 72nd minute with an assist from Giovanni Marino.
Season leaders included Joel Gutierrez in points (12) with five goals and two assists. Victor Plet totaled nine points with three goals and three assists. Navarro tallied eight points with four goals and team-highs in shots (24) and shots on goal (16).
Iker Villagomez recorded 79 saves in 11 games.
The Spartans finish the 2023 campain with a 4-10-1 overall record.
