Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team was edged 1-0 by Oakton on Tuesday.

The Spartans move to 3-6-1 overall and 2-3 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play as the Owls improve to 6-4 and 2-3.

Oakton commanded the first half, but the Elgin defense held them off.

The second half remained evenly matched before the Owls scored a late goal in the 84th minute to secure the win.

Frankie Flores tallied nine saves throughout the contest.

The Spartans travel to Palos Hills on Tuesday to face Moraine Valley at 4 p.m.
