Rockford, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team tied 1-1 with Rock Valley on Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans improve to 1-4-1 as the Eagles move to 4-2-1.

ECC totaled nine shots, including seven on goal, throughout the match.

Jesus Alonso put the first goal on the board in the 32nd minute of play. Rock Valley scored in the 71st to tie the game at 1-1.

Neither team was able to score as the game was pushed into two overtimes to result in a draw.

The Spartans host Waubonsee on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
