Crystal Lake, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team won a 2-1 thriller over McHenry on Tuesday night.

The Spartans improve to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) competition as the Scots move to 1-4-1 and 0-3.

McHenry scored at 34:19 to put the first point on the board. ECC tied it up 10 minutes later to enter the second half tied at 1-1.

Giovanni Marino scored the game winning goal with 17 seconds left on the clock to secure the 2-1 victory.

The Spartans travel to Rockford to take on Rock Valley on Saturday at 2 p.m.
