Elgin, Ill., Nov. 1, 2021 - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team had three players earn National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region honors.
Jose Banuelos, Kobe Frenette and Cesar Palomares each earned the award.
Banuelos recorded six goals and one assist as a forward to total 13 points, the most on the team.
Frenette registered a team-high eight assists and 20 shots with two goals as he floated between midfield and forward.
Palomares, a midfielder, tallied five assists and two goals for nine points. His .412 shot on goal percentage was the fourth highest on the team.
The team reached the NJCAA Region IV Quarterfinals and ended the season with a 6-8 record.
