Galesburg, Ill., Oct. 30, 2021 - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team suffered a season-ending loss to No. 7 Carl Sandburg in the Region IV Quarterfinals on Saturday.

The Spartans end the 2021 season with a 6-8 overall record.

The Chargers offense proved to be more dominant, with goals in the 24th, 26th and 29th minutes.

The lone ECC goal came in the 74th minute.

Carl Sandburg wrapped the second half with goals in the 80th and 85th minutes to hand the Spartans the 6-1 loss.

Elgin recorded six shots on goal on the day.
