Joliet, Ill., Oct. 2, 2021 - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team earned its second win in a row, and fifth of the season, in a 3-1 victory over Joliet Junior College.

This win pushes the men to 5-5 on the season.

Jose Banuelos put the first shot to the back of the net with an assist from Kobe Frenette.

Patrick Daley found a goal with a quick 1-2 assist from Cesar Palomares and Frenette.

Banuelos scored the third and final goal of the game, with Palomares dishing out his second assist for the 3-1 victory.

Banuelos and Frenette recorded five shots with Daley, Palomares and Matt Polovin tallying three each. Carlos Ibarra registered two and Michael Rubio, Nathan Ludwig and Mark Schuster shooting one apiece.

Harvey Partida recorded three saves from the goal.

The Spartans begin a three-game homestand beginning with Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) competitor, Moraine Valley, on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
