Elgin, Ill., Sept. 11, 2021 - The Elgin Community College men's soccer team fell 2-1 to Madison College on Saturday afternoon.

The WolfPack improves to 3-1 as the Spartans dip to 1-3.

Madison scored at 10:11 and 21:16 for an early 2-0 lead.

Carlos Ibarra put ECC on the board at 39:01 to tighten up the score 2-1 to end the first half.

The final 45 minutes went back and forth with several shots on goal for both teams, but it would end in a 2-1 loss for the Spartans.

Ibarra recorded a team-high three shots, Josh Madsen tallied two and Cesar Palmores, Jose Banuelos, Cameron Kruk, Kobe Frenette, Mark Schuster and Michael Rubio each registered one.

Harvey Partida recorded five saves on the day.

The Spartans are back on the road to face Waubonsee on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
