Oglesby, Ill., August 24, 2021 – The Elgin Community College men's soccer team suffered a 4-2 loss in its first game of the season against Illinois Valley Community College.

First-year Jose Banuelos scored both of ECC's goals.

Despite the loss, goalkeeper Harvey Partida recorded four saves.

Three Spartans, Banuelos, Josh Madsen and Cameron Kruk registered three shots. Kobe Frenette tallied two shots.

ECC has its first conference game of the season at Morton on Thursday at 4 p.m.
