Beach Park, Ill. - The Elgin Community College men's golf team finished second out of five teams at the College of Lake County Invitational.

The Spartans were just four strokes away from tying with Oakton for a first place finish. A total of 24 golfers competed on Wednesday.

Ethan Ward tied for second as an individual after shooting a 78, which was six over par.

Nooa Hakala finished in sixth (80) as Nicholas Heinrich placed seventh with an 82. Nathaniel Draper wrapped up the team score with an 83 to tie for eighth.
