Elgin, Ill., Jan. 27, 2022 - The Elgin Community College men's basketball team suffered a 77-71 loss to McHenry on Thursday night.

The Spartans dip to 9-10 overall and 3-4 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) play as the Scots move to 11-9 and 6-1.

Jordan Wilkins led the team with 26 points and four assists. Luke Difrancesca registered a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds as Justin Henderson tallied 15 points and nine rebounds.

ECC trailed 42-29 at the half, but rallied to put 42 points on the board in the second. Despite tightening up the deficit, the team was edged 77-71.

The Spartans host Waubonsee on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
