Elgin, Ill., Jan. 13, 2022 - The Elgin Community College men's basketball team won its first Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference game of the season with a 78-73 win over Moraine Valley on Thursday night.

Jordan Wilkins tied his season-best of 27 points and tallied six rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Dorien Little and Damir Glamoc registered season-highs in scoring, with 19 and 18 points apiece.

Moraine Valley led for the majority of the first, until the Spartans found a 10-point sweep to take the lead at 29-25 with just minutes in the half remaining.

The teams entered the second half tied at 32-32.

Elgin held the lead for the remainder of the game, and led by as many as 13 points. The Cyclones tightened it up to trail by four points in the final few minutes, but ECC hung on for the win.

The Spartans travel to Sugar Grove, Ill. to face Waubonsee on Saturday at 12 p.m.
