The 2026 Elgin Community College baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for their classroom performance in the 2025-26 academic year.
The award honors ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. This year's award recipients include nearly 500 college programs and more than 320 high school programs.
This year's 35 man roster boasted the program's highest ever grade point average of a 3.20. Twenty-six student-athletes achieved cumulative GPAs over a 3.0, with 11 recording a 3.50 or higher.
