Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College baseball team split a pair of games with Harper on Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans move to 9-6 in its overall season.

Game One: Harper 6, ECC 1

Andrew Flynn, Aiden Kashuba, Jack Kerno and Nick Weaver collected one hit apiece. Kerno scored the sole run of the game.

Lucas Aguirre pitched five innings and recorded three strikeouts. Justin Ceisel pitched two innings of relief and struckout one batter.

Game Two: Harper 0, ECC 10

Leth Pearson earned his first win of the season and allowed just two hits in five innings.

Daniel Blickhan registered a team-high four RBI and three hits. Weaver, Kerno and Cartner Novelli each scored two runs.

Elgin recorded five runs in the second and third innings to clinch the 10-0 shutout in five innings.

The Spartans are back on the road to face College of DuPage on Thursday at 3 p.m.
