Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College baseball team fell to No. 17 Madison on Friday afternoon.

The Spartans move to 8-5 in its overall season.

Brendan Campbell made the start and recorded seven strikeouts in 4.2 innings. Jimmy Bluemling, Aidan Stratton and Calvin Bredlau came in for relief.

Jack Kerno led the offense with three hits and two RBI. Chris Lara, Wyatt Sabalaskey, Nick Weaver, Aidan Kashuba and Jonathan Bayler scored one run apiece.

ECC hosts Harper on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for noon.
