Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College baseball team dropped a pair of games to Sauk Valley on Sunday afternoon.
The Spartans complete the regular season with a 20-32 overall record.
Game 1: SVCC 12, ECC 1
Logan Riley went 2-for-two with two singles and one RBI with Erik Teran II bringing in the run. Drew Piaskowy made the start and recorded three strikeouts.
Sauk Valley scored 12 scoreless runs in six innings.
Teran, Charlie Jury and Nathan Euliano earned walks to load up the bases in the bottom of the sixth. Riley hit it into a sacrifice fly to put a run on the board for the 12-1 final score.
Game 2: SVCC 10, ECC 6
Euliano registered three RBI with Riley earning two. Adrian Ruiz tallied three strikeouts in five innings.
The Skyhawks totaled five runs in the second and third innings.
Ty Sierpien walked and ended up scoring on a sacrifice fly to Jury to tighten the game up to 5-3.
SVCC scored one in fifth and four in the seventh to extend its lead to 10-3.
Elgin loaded the bases with a double from Teran, single from Jury and Riley being hit by a pitch. All three scored on Euliano's double to left field to end the game at 10-6.
