Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College baseball team fell in a pair of games to Black Hawk-Moline on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans move to 20-30 in their overall season as the Braves improve to 31-21.
Game 1: BHC 13, ECC 4
Logan Riley led the offense with a home run and three RBI. Luke Cano pitched 2.2 innings of relief and recorded four strikeouts.
Black Hawk scored three in the second to take an early 3-0 lead.
Riley hit a solo homer in the bottom of the inning to put the Spartans' first run on the board.
Erik Teran II and Charlie Jury hit back-to-back singles to get on base and scored on Riley's two-run single to tie up the game at 3-3.
The Braves extended its lead to 10-3 in the fifth and six innings.
Nathan Euliano doubled in the sixth and scored on Luke Bolender's sacrifice fly to score the fourth run.
BHC scored three additional runs in the seventh for the 13-4 final score.
Game 2: BHC 8, ECC 0
Jaden Alberson led the offense going 2-for-3 with two singles. Matt Reuscher made the start recording five strikeouts in five innings.
Black Hawk scored two runs in the third and fifth innings.
Elgin loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth but was unable to capitalize on the opportunity.
BHC scored one in the sixth and three in the seventh for the 8-0 final score.
The Spartans host Sauk Vally for the final regular season games on Sunday beginning at noon.
