Franklin, Wis. - The Elgin Community College baseball team lost 8-4 and 10-0 to Milwaukee Area Technical College on Friday.

The Spartans dip to 9-11 as the Stormers improve to 20-9 on the season.

Game 1: MATC 8, Elgin 4

Alijah Acevedo, Eli Johnson and Nick Schumann recorded one run on one hit with Acevedo bringing in two RBI.

Milwaukee struck early, bringing in seven runs in the first and one in the third inning.

Johnson singled with Acevedo following up with a homerun to right field to put two runs on the board.

Panico got on base in the fifth and was pushed home on Schumann's triple. Erik Teran II hit an RBI-single for ECC's fourth and final run of the game.

Game 2: MATC 10, Elgin 0

Scott Emma, Johnson, Nik Panico and Teran recorded hits on the day.

Elgin held MATC scoreless through two innings, but was unable to contain its offense as they ended the game early with five runs in the sixth inning.

The Spartans host Waubonsee for Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) action on Saturday beginning at noon.
