Forty-Six Named Academic All-Conference

The Elgin Community College athletic programs had 46 student-athletes earn Academic All-Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) honors for the 2024-25 school year.

Students with a 3.0 or higher grade point average are eligible to receive each award one time during their college career. Academic All-Conference first-year recipients had to have at least 24 credits hours while the Dick Durrant honorees had 48 or more accumulated credits.

First-year selections included baseball players Antonio Alanis, Jack Bennett, Calvin Bredlau, Matthew Brunscheen, Reed Burns, Josh Caccia, Justin Ceisel, Carter Novelli, Enzo Novelli, Leth Pearson, Miguel Rodriguez, Wyatt Sabalaskey and Caleb Williams. Others earning the award on the men's side were basketball players Max Fessler and Angel Nunez, soccer student-athletes Adan Garcia, Xavier Marquez and Reyli Perez and tennis student-athletes Carlos Morales and Samuel Penna.

Basketball student-athletes Mia Calderon and Valeria Costilla, women's soccer players Elena Carlos, Ashley Crisci, Veronica Hein, Adeline Kinsella and Peyton Kohn, softball student-athletes Camila Alonzo, Maile Fuller and Zoe Kaler, tennis players Julia Burley and Maria Misiaszek and volleyball student-athletes Abriella Navarrete and Annie Tiu represent the women's honorees.

Five from baseball earned the sophomore award, including Jaden Alberson, Cole Clemens, Casey Farrell, Jack Kerno and Sean Riordan. Golfer Jake Russell, soccer player Luis Rubio and tennis student-athlete Matthew Crumlett also achieved the honor.

Zoie Adamson and Sydney Haughs of softball and Nicole Nosbisch and Amelia Stoner of women's tennis round out the sophomore award recipients.
