The Elgin Community College Athletic Department had forty-three student-athletes earn academic honors in the Spring 2024 semester.
Students with a grade point average of 3.00-3.49 made the honors list, a 3.50-3.99 earned Dean's List recognition while a 4.0 GPA was a President's List recipient. To earn the award, students must be enrolled in six or more credits.
Eight student-athletes were named to the President's List including baseball players Quinn Butera, Jack Kerno and Andrew Sloan, golfer Jake Russell, soccer player Diogo Magana and tennis student-athletes Diego Adrienzen, Nathan Lieu and Isabella Masotti.
Fourteen student-athletes made the Dean's List. Recipients are baseball players Ryan Caccia, Charlie Jury, Daniel Kinney, Drew Piaskowy and Sean Riordan, basketball student-athletes Gavin Khounnoraj and Isaiah Smith, soccer players Joel Gutierrez and Jose Ortiz-Gavina, softball student-athlete Zoie Adamson, tennis players Amelia Stoner, Matthew Crumlett and John Eugenio and volleyball player Jadyn Booz-Bruce.
Twenty-one individuals recorded GPAs to qualify for the Honors List. Six from baseball earned the honor including Josh Collins, Josh Genz, Peter Mitchell, Patrick Nelson, Noah Schlup and Ty Sierpien. Others named to the list are basketball players Meek Ater, Maduk Deng, Mikaylah Patronas, Nicole Ramtahal and Alyssa Wysuph, golfers Trevor Book and Jon Cunniffe, soccer student-athletes Oscar Jimenez, Luis Rubio and Ignacio Zamora, softball players Sophia Espolt and Sydney Haughs, tennis players Gabrielle Czeremuga and Carlos Morales and volleyball student-athlete Alexis Macalindong.
