The Elgin Community College Athletic Department had forty student-athletes earned academic honors in the Fall 2023 semester.
Students with a grade point average of 3.00-3.49 made the honors list, a 3.50-3.99 earned Dean's List recognition while a 4.0 GPA was a President's List recipient. To earn the award, students must be enrolled in six or more credits.
Three student-athletes were named to the President's List including baseball player Quinn Butera, golfer Jon Cunniffe and tennis player Gabrielle Czeremuga.
Sixteen student-athletes made the Dean's List. Recipients are basketball players Gavin Khounnoraj and Izzy Vidallo, golfer Jake Russell, soccer players David De Souza, Ruben Guadalajara, Matthew Kapetan, Omar Olivo, Joshua Ortega and Iker Villagomez. Rounding out the list are softball student-athletes Zoie Adamson and Sarah Kinney, tennis players Amelia Stoner, Matthew Crumlett and John Eugenio and volleyball players Jadyn Booz-Bruce and Alexis Macalindong.
Twenty-two individuals recorded GPAs to qualify for the Honors List. Eleven from baseball earned the honor including Jaden Alberson, Edgar Barba, Ryan Caccia, Josh Collins, Casey Farrell, Josh Genz, Charlie Jury, Jack Keck, Jack Kerno, Daniel Kinney and Sean Riordan. Others named to the list are basketball players Meek Ater and Isaiah Smith, soccer student-athletes Jesus Alonso, John Kraft, Diogo Magana and Luis Rubio, softball player Sydney Haughs, tennis players Nicole Nosbisch and Anne Oshana and volleyball student-athletes Lilithe Buttron and Rachel Mikosz.
