Charlotte, NC – Eleven Elgin Community College student-athletes were named to the 2021-22 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Teams, as announced by the association on Monday.
Student-athletes are eligible to earn the academic honors by achieving an overall grade point average of 3.60 or higher with 24 or more credit hours. First Team honorees had a 4.0 GPA, Second Team maintained a 3.80-3.99 and Third Team honorees logged a 3.60-3.79 grade point average.
First Team recipients include Sam Bonick (baseball), Lorenzo Ranallo (baseball) and Joshua Reyes (men's tennis).
Alisa Donga (women's tennis), Haley Geistler (softball) and Adelyse Gonzales (volleyball) made up the Second Team honorees.
Third Team honors were extended to Jessie Dumoulin (women's basketball), Nathan Ludwig (men's soccer), Anayeli Perez (women's soccer), Alyssa Santiago (women's basketball) and Nick Schumann (baseball).
