Elgin, Ill., Feb. 28, 2022 – The Elgin Community College athletic programs had 41 student-athletes earn academic honors in the Fall 2021 semester.
Students with a grade point average of 3.00-3.49 made the honors list, a 3.50-3.99 earned Dean's List recognition while a 4.0 GPA was a President's List recipient. To earn the award, students must be enrolled in six or more credits.
Seven student-athletes were named to the President's List. They include Sam Bonick, Nik Panico and Lorenzo Ranallo from baseball, Jack Charles from men's golf, Gloria Mora of women's soccer and Haley Geistler and Hailey Hall from softball.
Nine student-athletes made the Dean's List, including Kris Kempe (baseball), Luis Rodriguez (baseball), Nick Schumann (baseball), Carlos Segura (men's soccer), Adelyse Gonzales (volleyball), Natalie McGinnis (women's soccer), Alisa Donga (tennis), Jessie Dumoulin (women's basketball) and Alyssa Santiago (women's basketball).
Twenty-five individuals recorded GPAs to make the Honors List. Recipients include 10 from baseball (Alijah Acevedo, Connor Collins, Gavin Crofoot, Scott Emma, Mauricio Grosso, Jon Howard, Andrew Knowlton, Isaac Kopalchick, Graham Rachow and Frank Szymanski), Jordan Wilkins of men's basketball, three from men's soccer (Jefferson Morataya, Matt Polovin and Mark Schuster).
On the women's side, three from volleyball (Mackenzie Field, Kaila Kammes and Kitzia Tinajero), four from soccer (Daniela Garay, Kaley Kowal, Kayla Mathis and Anayeli Perez), three from basketball (Takara Campbell, Ariana Marchan and Layla Tiongco) and Natalie Stumph from softball.
